Open Door is excited to be offering another 4 week Koru Mindfulness course as part of our March Mindfulness Series. Join Contemplative Educator, Myra Smith, to learn the skills and tools you need to navigate stress and live a more present life. Koru was developed for the emerging adult, however,it is a great introductory course to mindfulness for all ages beyond. The course starts March 6th, 6:30 – 7:45, and meets the following 3 weeks.

-1After completing yoga teacher training, Myra was inspired to learn more about the mind, body and heart connection. This led her to participate in a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course. She experienced such transformation through mindfulness and meditation practices that sharing those practices has become her passion. In addition to being a practicing yogi for over ten years, Myra holds a Master’s degree in Contemplative Education from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and is a certified Koru Mondfulness teacher. With 18 years of teaching experience spanning four continents, she wholeheartedly believes sharing practice is a true gift that enables her to learn from her students. A North Carolina native, she and her husband Greg, enjoy travel,photography, antiques, Japanese & Tibetan Culture, and Contemplative Arts.
