About 4 years ago, my doctor suggested I take yoga.
Between cutting hair for 16 years, jumping out of many airplanes, and countless other things, I had done some damage to my thirty something body…
My first class at Open Door with Monica was life changing. At first, It was the X factor. So hot, so intense…
And although those things never changed, I did.
Self discipline, calmness, self control.
Learning how to breathe. Calmly. While my heart beat out of my chest. Amazing.
And with all that, I learned to love the many things about changing an injured adult body.
Not to mention creating strength on many levels…
I feel honored to be apart of this studio. Teaching with the most amazing teachers. Watching growth daily – within myself as a student, teacher, observer. (As well as watching incredible change in you guys that show up several times a week. It really is powerful!!!)
I look forward to welcoming you into our community.
Having you in the room.
We’ll be students together – whether I am taking, or teaching…
Much love and sweat!!!

Tiffany has been consistantly practicing yoga for 5 years. It took her two years to find hot yoga, and when she did it was love at first triangle :). Her love for the yoga from all angles is what pushed her to enroll to become one of Open Door Yoga’s first Bija trained yoga teachers. With a background as a dive and sailing instructor, she has applied her love of teaching to her yoga classes. And though a teacher now, she is a life time student, continually absorbing more to bring to her classes.

I love hatha yoga. It is a space that’s completely real in it’s purpose; where everything that holds you, binds you or controls you falls away. You have an honest 90 minutes with your practice, even if you fake triangle.
Studying hatha yoga at open door is an adventure. Mine started in May of 2009. My friend and I went on a whim, and then I came back every day for a week. I would consistently practice for the remainder of that year. After completing the Bija training in July, a whole new dimension of my practice opened up; I now get to be both student and teacher.
I don’t know if it was my business degree or my obsession with umbrellas. Maybe my earnest desire to be a farmer, or a lifelong traveler. Something brought me to yoga, and I’ll be grateful for as long as I know life. I credit the yoga with transforming my body and so much of my perspective. And for the earnest desire to do scorpion pose. You should look it up; it’s just ridiculous. The end
