Advancing Your Practice: Your Body
This 4 weekend immersion series is designed for experienced practitioners who feel ready to take their practice to the next level. This doesn’t mean learning fancy tricks or becoming more flexible. We think of becoming advanced as learning to be more discerning, knowledgeable and aware of your own body. It’s uniqueness, it’s story and how to use your ever increasing awareness to inform how to move and practice in a way that will always be sustainable.
We will spend 4 weekends learning what we all have in common (basic anatomy and some physiology) as well as how those commonalities differ from person to person. It’s within applying biomechanics those differences that we gain skill in moving our bodies.
A big part of this series is learning how to create a dynamic of movement to define when enough is enough. When we learn this, we learn how to strengthen our system while increasing resiliency rather than draining our system in search of temporary highs through over exertion.
This series is appropriate for students of any style or lineage of yoga, as well just being interested in moving differently in general. Space is limited to 15 students.
